BURLINGTON - On June 13, 2014, Alice Blanche (Quesnel) Charlebois of Burlington, widow of Romeo Charlebois, died peacefully in Starr Farm Nursing Center.

Alice was born July 1, 1916, in Limoges, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late Rosario and Victoria Rochon Quesnel.

Alice moved to Whiting on a farm with her family at the age of two, and was schooled in Whiting.

She married Romeo Charlebois in 1939.

They owned and operated the Open View Farm on Route 7 in New Haven until 1961.

They built a home on Monkton Road in Vergennes.

They purchased part of the Stevens Hotel and made 13 apartments; and also purchased the Colby Block with another 13 apartments.

After Romeo died in 1974, Alice moved to Florida for a number of years, then returned to Vermont.

Alice was predeceased by her husband, Romeo Charlebois, in 1974; son, Leonard, in 1984; and three brothers and three sisters.

Arrangements are in the care of Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors, Burlington.
