Blanche Casad, age 92, of Olney, died at 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, December 24, 1991 at her residence.

Mrs. Casad was born in Daviess County, IN on December 5, 1899, the daughter of Joseph F. and Maude (Banta) Quayle.

She married John Walter Casad on December 4 1919 in Olney. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1987.

Mrs. Casad was a retired homemaker. She was a member of the Blain Church, a 50 year member of the Homemaker Club, a member of Midway Extension Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Lucille George of Olney and Mrs. Carl (Jean) Simpson of Casper, Wyoming; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, husband, two half-brothers, Gaylord and Bruce and one half-sister, June.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 30 in the chapel of Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, with Rev. Herman Gumble officiating.

Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Blanche's mother passed away when she was less than 2 years old and her father remarried to Lottie Bates in 1903 in Richland Co, IL and Lottie had 3 children before 1910 with none surviving but went on to have 3 more being, Gaylord, Bruce and June.
