Thelma Bryson, 77, of Dimmitt died at 1 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 1996, in Plains Memorial Hospital after a lengthly illness.
Mrs. Bryson was born in Acworth, Texas, October 7, 1918, and moved to Dimmitt in 1974 from Mineola, Texas. She was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge and was active in the First Baptist Church. She was a housewife. She married N.A. Bryson June 1, 1947.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Dr. Neil Bryson of Tulia; one daughter, Frances Ramirez of Cedar Hill; three brothers, Thurman Quarles of Marshall, W.R. Quarles of Paris, and Garland Quarles of Waynoka, Oklahoma; one sister, Dorothy Mason of Zachary, Louisiana; and two grandson, Alan and Matthew Ramirez, both of Cedar Hill.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt with the Rev. Paul Kenley officiating. Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home made burial in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
