Margaret Puryear Peters, age 92, died in Amarillo on Saturday, August 1, 1998.
Born November 5, 1905 to John and Eva Camp Puryear in Collingsworth County, she attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a PhD.
She was a teacher and taught school for 55 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wheeler.
She and Paul Albert Peters were married October 23,1932. He preceded her in death in 1945.
Survivors include two nieces, Carole Young of Cheney, WA and Dianne Duddington of Gransbury; three great-nephews, Kevin Puryear Young of Seattle, WA; Robert Duddington of Gransbury and Steven Duddington of Mansfield; and a great-niece, Malei Young of Seattle, WA.
