Faye P. Anderson, 45, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2003, after a battle with cancer. She was a native of Glennville and co-owner of Tattnall Insurance and Realty. As an active member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church, she touched many lives with the musical talent with which God had blessed her. She assisted in the music ministry as an organist and choir member. Her love, inspiration, and faith will truly be missed. Faye's memory will be cherished and never forgotten by all her loved ones and friends she made along the way.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Royce B. Anderson of Glennville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Alexis Anderson and Renee and Keith Dixon, all of Glennville; one son and daughter-in-law, Major Ron and Julie Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada; her parents, Truett and Irma Purvis of Glennville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Alan Purcell and Linda and Randy Bradley, all of Glennville; three grandchildren: Avery, Zachary, and Logan; several nieces and nephews; and two special daughters she considered her own, Jane Joyner and April Pirkle.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Bryan and the Rev. Steve Posey officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Walt Purcell, Lawrence Bradley, Lance Bradley, Randy Purvis, Bernard Purvis, Gene Kicklighter, David Kicklighter, and Grant Kerr.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Glennville High School Class of 1975.
