She was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Cochran, Ga., and was the youngest child of William Walter Purser and Nettie Mae (Allen) Purser. She was predeceased by her parents; four siblings; and husband of 48 yeas, William Caswell Peurifoy. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Houchins of Tallahassee, and sisters-in-law, Marion Purser of Byron, Ga., and Jan Chambers of Bradenton, Fla., along with many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Suzy. "Jackie" attended Middle Georgia College after receiving a music scholarship for singing and was also a cheerleader before marrying in 1955 and becoming a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and held a strong belief in God's higher power in her life. Some of her favorite activities were cooking, antiques and going to garage sales and flea markets. She was greatly loved for her kind manner and sense of humor and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
