Mrs. Lucy Mumma age 75 years, died suddenly at her home in Killbuck, death believed being due to a heart attack.

She was born in Killbuck Township, Holmes Co., OH October 23, 1879, the daughter of Luther and Delilah Phillips Purdy. She was one of a family of 12 children. She has been a lifelong resident of Killbuck, a member of Killbuck Methodist Church, a member of W.S.C.S. of that church and for several years she owned and operated a tourist home in Killbuck.

In January of 1924 she married Charles Clow who died 10 years later. On October 13, 1954 she married Lee R. Mumma who she leaves together with three step-children, Fred Arnold of Winesburg, Mrs. Edith Shepler of Akron and Mrs. Lorna Gilmore of Canton. Mr. Mumma is a patient at the Veteran's Hospital at Washington, D.C. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Mellor and Mrs. Lillie Mohr, both of Killbuck R.D., and Mrs. R.C. McClure of Hillbuck and several nephews and nieces.
