Mae Holton, 82, of Sycamore Street died at 11:11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was a foster grandmother with the Headstart Program. She was employed by Roviar shirt factory and Burd's Cleaners.
Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street, with the Rev. Don Humphrey officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church or Foster Grandparents Program.
Mrs. Holton was born in Jennings County Jan. 27, 1916, the daughter of Emory and Elizabeth Purdue.
Survivors include a daughter, Nicki Lucas of Bartlett, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Robin Lucas of Bartlett, Jerry and Joseph Holton, both of Slidell, La., and Angela Holton of Washington State.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Holton; seven brothers; and three sisters.
