Rosetta Amiss, 80, of Keokuk, died at 9:10 PM Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Lexington Square.

She was born April 14, 1926 in Venango, Pennsylvania the daughter of William and Ruby Scott Purdue. She was first married to Lloyd Cooper, second marriage to Thomas Moody and later to James Amiss.

She lived in Keokuk, Iowa most of her life. She worked at Keokuk Area Hospital and area nursing homes as a nurse aid. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister-in-law and liked to read. She loved to visit her friends and relatives.

She is survived by two daughters: Sharon Farmer and her husband Gene Laymon of Kahoka, Missouri; Stephanie Corr of Keokuk, Iowa; Three sons: Richard Corr of Decator, Illinois; Ronnie and Rodney Moody of the state of Georgia; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd; daughter, Kathy Richmond; a sister-in-law; Opal Eagley; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 25, 2006 with Reverend Dale Thomas officiating at DeJong's Funeral Home. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family.
