Elma Gertrude Purdue, daughter of Richard Henry (1853-1924) and Amanda Ellen (Work) (1866-1953), Purdue, married Claud Earl Addington on 28 Apr 1907 in Boonville, IN.

Gertie moved with Claud and the six younger of her nine children in 1930, from Boonville, IN to Elizabethtown, KY.
