This story was written For my grandmother Sarah Sue Purdue Cook by my Mom Mary Anne Cook
My Mother was the best Mother in the world. She was always there for us 5 kids and worked very hard to take care of us. When she was 48 she had to go to Norfolk VA to be with my brother Larry while he had cancer surgery. On the way there she had several mild heart attacks. When she got there she had a severe heart attack and was in the hospital for several weeks. At that time she also found out she had diabetes and was put on insulin shots. When she got back home it was clear she could not ever work again, but was continuously denied her SS Disability. We were lucky to have her with us for another 10 years. She passed away on February 9, 1987 and we had to burry her on Valentines Day that year. She is very greatly missed and was most loves by all of us kids.
