Mrs. Forrest (Mildred L.) Lansdowne, 60, 1311 North Roosevelt road died in Porter Memorial hospital at 7:L15 pm Friday after an illness of six weeks.
She was born in Valparaiso on Dec. 31, 1904, the daughter of Aaron B. and Mary (Tucker) Pumroy,. On July 24, 1925 in Valparaiso she was married to Forrest Lansdowne, who survives.
Mrs. Lansdowne was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Valparaiso, Navy Mothers and Anglers club.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Frank E., of Valparaiso, and William A., of Kouts; two sisters, Mrs. Alice McHallam, Pompano Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Bernice Bird, Valparaiso; one brother, Edwin L. Pumroy, Gary; and nine grandchildren.
One sister, Mrs. Rachel Barber, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Monday in the Wetmore Funeral home with the Rev. Darrell Parker, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Sunday.
