Age 94, the seventh out of eight children to the late Reverend Kerry Elde and Pearl Josephine Downs Shindledecker.
Miriam graduated from Edinboro High School with the class of 1939, and attended Edinboro State Teacher’s College for two years. She married Frank N. Pulling on February 4, 1942. She had a gift for preparing and serving food. When her children were older, Miriam was the manager of the General McLane cafeteria system. She was an active, lifetime member of the Edinboro United Methodist Church, and sang alto in the church choir for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Frank in 1980; brothers, Ormel, Lynn Ardell, Donald, and Leroy Shindledecker; and sisters Helen Andrus, Louise Duncan, Maxine Brown.
Surviving are her children; son, Donald of Edinboro, and daughters Kathleen (William) Brown of Warrenton, VA, Barbara (Ken) Chernicky of McKean, Judy Pulling of Edinboro; seven grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery.
