Death of Mrs. L. C. Pugmire

Mrs. Marguerite Elizabeth Pugmire of Fish Haven, wife of L. C. Pugmire, died in a local hospital December 31. Mrs. Pugmire, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Michael Jacob Goebel, was born in Richfield, Utah January 14, 1887. She moved to Paris with her parents when three years old. On November 5, 1906, she and Mr. Pugmire were married.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Gwen Dalrymple and Ruth Pugmire, both of Salt Lake City; four sons, Orren L. Pugmire of Kemmerer, Pfc. Clement G. Pugmire in the South Pacific area, Weldon F. Pugmire of Montpelier, and Pfc. Ernest L. Pugmire of Stewart Field, New York; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Roberts of Lanark; one brother, Charles F. Goebel of Paris; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Fish Haven ward chapel with Counselor Arthur Shirley presiding.

The opening song, “Oh My Father,” was by the choir; speaker, Frank Findlay; vocal solo, “That Wonderful Mother of Mine,” F. M. Williams; speakers, Bishop C. C. Shirley and Bishop S. E. Hymas; vocal duet, “Come Unto Me,” Mrs. Lamont Scofield and Mrs. Earl Pugmire; speaker, President L. Burdette Pugmire; vocal solo, “In The Garden Of Tomorrow”, Mrs. Wenonah Shirley; benediction W. Alfred Howell.

Interment was in the Montpelier cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Bishop Eugene Shepherd. The F. M. Williams Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
