Nettie Mae Clayton
Funeral service for Nettie Mae Clayton, 81, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Willis E. Taylor officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Louis Wooten, George Wooten, W.C. Pryor, Hubert Pryor, Ray Dell Pryor, Henry Lee Wooten Jr., Larry Pryor, Rufus Williams and the Rev. Darrell Pryor serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Clayton, Sidney Clayton, Eric Pope, Tyreo Harrison, Joey Harrison, Lamarcus Stephens, Brandon Clayton, Michael Clayton, Rodney Dunlap, Justin Clayton, Chad Gasaway, Tony Thompson, Van Christopher Williams and Dion Wade.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22 at West Oaks Funeral Home.

Mrs. Clayton died Friday, Dec. 19, at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
She was born in the Pleasant Hill community on Oct. 24, 1927, the daughter of Claude Albert and Eliza Wynn Pryor.

She married Lesley "Baby" Clayton on Dec. 25, 1946. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Clayton retired from Rockwell Industries. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Harrison and Sonia Clayton, both of Sulphur Springs; three sons, Billy Don Clayton and Robert Joe Clayton of Sulphur Springs and Lesley Clayton Jr. of Terrell; one sister, Euelar Wooten of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, Elvis Pryor of Sulphur Springs and the Rev. George W. Pryor of Dallas; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Alvin Ray Clayton; seven brothers, Herbert, Herman, Ralph, Raymond, Rufus, Oran and Claudell Clayton; and one sister, Cloteil Jackson.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
