Beulah Pryor Young passed from this Earth on Oct. 8, 2008.
Born Aug. 31, 1927, to Eva Norwood Pryor and Nathan Marion Pryor, she was a lifelong resident of Decatur and active member of Central Baptist Church. She was the valedictorian of her 1945 graduating class from Riverside High School.
She married Arthur Wayne Young on Nov. 11, 1948. Their union produced five children, Steven Wayne Young of Birmingham, Roger Pryor Young of Atlanta, Pam Young Vice of Hartselle, Dorothy Young Hulvey of Birmingham and Yancy Brian Young of Hartselle.
She is survived by her husband, children, and her sister, Dorothy Marion Pryor of Decatur, Ga. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Erica Vice Hood, James, Graham and Nathan Vice, Christian and Taylor Hulvey, and Collin and Nicolas Pryor Young.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial immediately following in Roselawn Cemetery. Rev. Rob Jackson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Harry Vice, Chris Hulvey, James Vice, Graham Vice, Bobby Day and Davis Woodruff. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
