Okie Pruitt Cornett, age 91, of Sparta, died Friday, July 30. 2010 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Cornett; a daughter, Carol C. Edwards; and a grandson, Greg Cornett.
She was born Feb. 26, 1919 in Marion, Va. to Preston and Jennie Gullion Pruitt.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 1 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, Va. with burial in Cornett cemetery in Elk Creek, Va. The Rev. Eddie Foster officiated.
