COON, Darlene V. - Of Clio, age 79, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, April 18, 2009 at Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 1-9pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Darlene was born May 28, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa to the late Richard and Leona Pruden. She had resided in the Clio area since 1949. Darlene married Leo Coon on January 13, 1961. She was employed with General Motors for 30 years before retiring. She liked to travel and camp. Surviving are: husband, Leo; children, Linda Hill (Craig Cullen) of Flint, Laura (Richard) Plummer of Mt. Morris; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Darlene was also preceded in death by her son Steven Hill in 2005.
