Mora Prosser Morris, 88, Muncie, died Wednesday at her home after a short illness.
Mrs. Morris, who was born in Scottsburg, had lived in the Muncie and Hartford City area since the 1920s. She graduated from Muncie High School in 1925 and received a bachelor's degree in science from DePauw University in 1929. She received a dietetic diploma from Methodist Hospital in 1930 and completed 2 years of work toward a master's degree at Indiana University. She was a member of Tri Kappa sorority and Alpha Phi sorority and was active in many civic organizations and churches.
Survivors include her daughter, Nikki Stanley (husband-Marvin), Eureka Springs, Ark.; a brother, Archibald Prosser, Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Arlouine Fadely, Scottsdale, Ariz.; three nieces, Judy Peeter, Pensacola, Fla., Janice Liehr, Morrow, Ga., and Paula Crone, Portland, Ore.; three nephews, James Kae Fadely, Saratoga, Calif., Michael Fadely, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Howard Williams, South Bend.
Her husband, Jean Willard Morris, died in 1992.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Agape Ministry Church, with Rev. Eldon Morehouse officiating. Entombment will be later in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. There will be no calling.
Memorials may be made to J.W. and Mora Morris Fund for Youth, in care of Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, P.O. Box 807, Muncie, 47308. Parson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
