Alma M. Engelhard was born March 8, 1903, at Farming, Minnesota, the daughter of Valentine and Anna (Willenbring) Engelhard. She came to North Dakota with her family in 1905 where they settled in the Foxholm area.
She married Joseph P. Sauer Jr. October 29, 1924 at St. Henry's Catholic church near Foxholm.
Joseph and Alma had two children:
Vernita
Anna Mae
Joseph and Vernita died in 1928.
On January 20, 1931, she married Leonard Prom at St. Henry's church near Foxholm. They lived on a farm east of Harvey.
Leonard and Alma had six children:
