She was a member of the Gamaliel Baptist Church,a retired U. S. Postal Service rural letter carrier for the Gamaliel community and a former store clerk for Taylor's General Store.She was a daughter of the late Amos and Zada(Arterburn) Proffitt and the wife of Lawrence Jackison who survives.She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann and husband,Dale Fudge,Gamaliel.
