Mrs. Edith Opal Privett, 66, 1501 W. 14th St., died at her home Monday afternoon after an long illness. She had resided in Muncie all of her life and was a member of the North Walnut Street Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Smithe, Indianapolis, Mrs. Betty Swain and Mrs. Charles Mann; a son, Lee Roy Privett; her mother, Mrs. Ida Shores; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Stout and Mrs. Charles Fair; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the Parson Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Lowell L. Yeats officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
