Homer G. Privett, 40, 311 S. Gharkey St., Tuesday ar Ball Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was a native of Muncie and spent most of his life in this community.
He attended Muncie Central High School and several with U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre in World War II. He had been employed at Warner Gear more than 20 years prior to his illness. He was a member of Delaware Post 19, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Hedges Privett; two daughters, Jo Anne and Patrcia, both at home; three sisters, Charles, chief of police at Portland., and Fred, Akron, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery. The American Legion will conducted millitary services at graveside.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday.
