Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Pritchett, former Danville resident, were Thursday afternoon, from the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. The Rev. S. F. Cook, pastor of the Plainfield Nazarene Church officiated. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Cartersburg. She died December 23 in the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Indianapolis following an extended illness. A native of Danville, she was born December 21, 1884, the daughter of Joseph and Christian Beason Wood. She was married to John Pritchett who preceded her in 1915. She resided in Danville until 1934 when she moved to Plainfield. She and her late husband operated a nursing home there for many years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Della Bybee, Danville, Christina Woodward, Lizton, and Irene Fleetwood, Indianapolis; one son, Melvin Pritchett, Plainfield; a brother, Willis Wood, Arlington, California; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
