Funeral services for Elizabeth Pritchard Bowen, of 2002 Jefferson St., Bluefield, will be conducted today at 2:30 at the residence with H. Patterson officiating and burial in the family mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowen died Thursday in Bluefield Sanitarium following a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph H. Bowen, was a native of Algoma in McDowell County, and was a daughter of the late William J. and Ann Harris Pritchard.
She was a graduate of Marshall University and was a former school teacher in Bramwell. While a resident in Bramwell, she was a member of Bramwell Presbyterian Church. She became a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bluefield after moving to this city in 1943.
Mrs. Bowen was also preceded in death by a son Joseph H. Bowen Jr., who died Oct. 9, 1966.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Henry R. Glenn and Mrs. Joseph C. Broadus of New York City; one son, William H. Bowen of Bramwell; 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Roland Lazenby, Garland Bruce, Sherman B. Little, Joseph C. Hindsley Jr., Marvin C. Douthat Jr., John F. Land Jr., W.T. Hall, Randell O. Bond, Garland A. Hess, James E. Mann.
