AMHURST, VA Margaret P. (Prince) Kurz, 92, formerly of York, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 14, 2007. She was the wife of the late Rev. Ferdinand A. Kurz, Jr., to whom she was married for 65 years. Mrs. Kurz was born in York on March 23, 1915, to the late Edward and Grace Charlotte (Detwiler) Prince. Margaret was a Social Worker in the state of New York, devoted her time to foster care and church work. She was a member of Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg, Va.; Shiloh United Church of Christ, York; and a former Sunday School teacher. She was involved in numerous church circles and was a member of The Lowell Club in New York. She is survived by two children, Elizabeth Kurz Behr of Buffalo, N.Y., and David E. Kurz of Amhurst, Va.; five grandchildren, Matthew Kurz, Jonathan Kurz, Amy Kurz, Peter Behr, and Susan Langone; five greatgrandchildren, Chastidy Kurz, Laura Behr, Anthony Langone, Alexander Langone, and Adam Behr; and numerous extended family and friends. There will be a graveside committal service at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at Riverview East Prospect Cemetery. Attendees, please meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 8:30 a.m. Following the committal service, there will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. from Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Road, York. Officiating will be the Rev. David Danneberger. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
