Madison -- Margaret Prime Farley, 96 died suddenly Wednesday, June 30, 2004. She was a communicant of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a longtime resident at the Henderson Complex in Madison. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Farley; her daughter, Rita Janitschek; and her son, William O. Farley. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Geraldine (Begin) Farley of Bingham; her son-in-law, Al Janitschek of Ledgewood, N.J.; a sister, Lauretta Mason of Largo, Fla.; and a host of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Services were held privately. Arrangements are by Giverson Funeral Home, 40 Maple ST., Madison. (she was cremated)

She was the oldest child of Thomas J. Prime, mayor of Bergenfield, N.J., from 1918-1922, and the mother of William O. Farley, spokesman for Consolidated Edison during the Great Blackout.
