Funeral services for Mr. John Lewey Price, age 90, of Clayton, were held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Don Highland and Rev. Ron Estes officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery with military honors. Kent Funeral Home of Clayton directing. Mr. Price died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Crowne Health Care of Eufaula after an extended illness.
Born November 5, 1923, in Louisville, Mr. Price was the son of the late John P. Price and Rosa Pickett Price. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Francis Dominey “Bill” Price in July of 2012. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Timothy Lee (Tim) and Gina Price, Clayton; a sister, Eleanor Price, Louisville, KY.; and four grandsons, Micah, William, Benjamin and Ronnie Price.
Ask to serve as pallbearers were Braxton Green, Trip Horne, Tommy Horne, Dean Brown, Ricky Caraway and David Allen Caraway.
The family suggested donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave. 7 Floor, New York, NY 10001 or a charity of your choice.
