Her husband, Clarence E. Criner; her parents, Winfred and Mary Price; and her brothers, Winfred E. Price Jr. and John R. Price, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Nancy Price, of Pilot, and Greta Price, of Prices Fork. Leona retired from Virginia Tech and spent her last year at Warm Hearth, where she had made many friends and was very happy. A devout Christian, she was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, where for many years she was known as the decoration lady for all the Happy Go Lucky Club events. She was an accomplished crocheter and donated many beautiful handmade afghans to the Prices Fork Grange Fair each year. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church with Pastor John Wertz Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to the Warm Hearth Foundation, 2607 Warm Hearth Drive, Suite 100, Blacksburg, Va.

Friends may call anytime after 9 a.m. Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
