Nellie Price Laughlin

Nellie Price Laughlin, 54, of Goode, went home to be with Jesus to leave her pain and worries behind, Monday September 23, 2002.

She was the beloved wife of Nelson F. Laughlin.

Born July 9, 1948 in Pamplin, VA., she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Samuel Price and Sallie Witt Price, and was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Nellie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a friend to all. In addition to her husband Nelson, she is survived by her children: Cheryl and C.J. Coleman of Madison Heights, Lisa and James Marks of Rustburg, Crystal Laughlin and Cameron Day of Evington, Clifton and Brenda Laughlin of Goode, Robbie Laughlin and Jennifer Raynor of Campbell County; brothers: John, Curtis, Douglas, and Larry Price of Lynchburg; sisters: Barbara Otey of Bedford, Carrie Hughes of Lynchburg, and Ellen Jordan of Evington; grandchildren: Cody, Courtney, Brittney, and Felicia Coleman; Caitlin, Kirstin, and Ashley Laughlin, and soon to be Tyler Lewis Day.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 26, 2002 at Pisgah Presbyterial Church, Goode, by Pastor Carlton Duck and Pastor Beatrice Tassone. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Road, and at other times at the residence, 1140 Colony Heights Road, Goode.

The family would like to thank Dr. John MacNeill, the nurses at Virginia Baptist Hospital and the Respiratory therapists for all their care, love, and devotion shown during Nellie's illness.
