Gaffney, SC – Mrs. Josephine Price Blackwood, 85, of Brookview Healthcare Center, Gaffney, died June 2, 2004 at Brookview Healthcare Center. A native of Polk Co, NC, she was the widow of Charles L. Blackwood and a daughter of the late Zeb Price and the late Sara Jane Ruff Price. She was a former manager of The Standard Press Shop and also operated "Critter Creek" Cattle Farm in Whitestone, SC. She was a member of Limestone St Methodist Church. Surviving are a sister, Lilly Phillips of Polk Co, NC; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Miss Bessie J. Price, Ollie McClure and Mary Ruff; also a brother, Zeb Price, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Shufford-Hatcher Chapel. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, SC. Pallbearers will be Roger McClure, Hal Newton, James Barber, David Ruff, Abraham Ruff, and J.D. Ruff. Shufford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge.
