Services for Rachel Prestridge Boteler, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in the Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Garth Oliver will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado.
Pallbearers will be Billy Dale Allen, Larry Yawn, Dwaine Basham, Travis Basham, Ken Scoggins, John Basham and Bryan Basham.
Mrs. Boteler died Sunday, March 14, 2004, in Glen Rose. She was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Alvarado, to Willie Edmund and Dora (Senter) Prestridge. She married Walter I. "Rip" Boteler on Nov. 11, 1932, in Burleso, Texas.
He was the s/o Thomas Marion & Lola (Neff) Boteler and grandson of John B., born June 1856 in Texas, & Fannie M., born Apr 1861 in Alabama.
Mrs. Boteler was a homemaker and a member of Field Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and United Daughters of the Confederacy and she was an accomplished artist.
Survivors include husband, Walter Isbel "Rip" Boteler of Cleburne; daughter, Lorraine B. Oliver and husband John of New Mexico; grandsons, J. Garth Oliver and wife Kasie and W. Tom Oliver and wife Lora; great-grandchildren, Dustie Danae, Brittany Brianne, Jessica Elise and Garrett Garth Oliver; nieces, Benja Allen and husband Brian and Gail Yawn and husband Larry; and great-nephews, Keith and Mark Yawn.
