Lucille Forst, 89, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday October 25, 2012 at 8:10 pm at Garrett Millers Merry Manor. She began her career as a clerk at Rogers Market and retired from Hoosier Foods in 2006. She was a member of Seminary United Methodist Church where she held numerous offices, was active in various community organizations, and was an avid bowler, attending national tournaments for over 40 years.
Lucille was born June 16, 1923 in Huntington County, the daughter of John and Linnie (Forsythe) Pressler. On September 28, 1941 she married Paul W. Forst and he passed away in May 1981. She is survived by a son Eric (Nancy) Forst of Garrett, 3 grandchildren Terry Shake, Tim (Dorothy) Shake, and Tami (Larry) Shake Arreguin, 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Paul Kent Forst, 2 brothers Kenneth and Jack Pressler, and a sister Parilee Johnson.
Visitation will be held Sunday October 28 from 2-7 pm at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the 11:00 am funeral service Monday October 29 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
