Titanic Survivor.

Worked on the Titanic as a store-keeper.

He didn't feel the collision with the iceberg, but he felt the ship stop and when he got on deck he noticed the ice in the forward well-deck.

Jumped into the cold water off the ships stern.

Was picked up out of the water by Lifeboat #4. While he was in the boat he tried to drink a bottle of whiskey, but it was thrown out by Quartermaster Walter Perkis.

He has said Titanic was carrying gold on her towards New York, but his story cannot be proven true.

Before his death in 1982, he was interviewed for the televised Titanic report called "Titanic, A Question of Murder".
