Reva was born August 22, 1918 in Kingston, Illinois, the daughter of Michael and Margaret Balzer Predmore. She married Thelbert Hobbs in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1970. She married Neil Akers in 1974 and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Reva was employed by Block and Kuhl and later at Carson Pirie Scott for many years. She was manager of the linen department. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Reva was active in the Berrian School PTA where she served as president. She also served as treasurer of the Auxiliary 340.
Survivors include her son, Richard Hobbs of Albany, NY; 3 grandchildren, Pamela Atkinson of Clemons, NY, Linda O'Hara of Ticonderoga, NY, and Richard Hobbs, Jr of Glens Falls, NY; Neil's children, Kathy Anthony of Plainville, IL, and Samuel Akers of St. Louis, MO; several great grandchildren; a sister, Fayette Stice of Quincy, IL, and two nieces.
She was also preceded in death by Neil's children, Connie Veldeman, and Karen Anderson, a sister, Gladys Meyer, and a brother, Wilbur Predmore.
