The following information was contributed by Carole Nurmi Cummings, a Dutch descendant from the 1600s and a cousin.

Military Pension: 10 November 1841

"Magdalen Ferdon, age 80, formerly Powleson or Powles, a resident of Harrington, Bergen Co., NJ, widow of Abraham Ferdon."

▪ Mariah (Nagel) Blauvelt, age 82 (4 Nov 1841), was present at the wedding: "at that time I was married to Powles Powleson, the brother of Magdalen Ferdon." She saw their father, Martin Paulison, on guard duty at Closter, Bergen Co., NJ during the war. She was the former widow of Paul Powles married to John A. Blauvelt.
