JOHNSONVILLE -- Ellen "Eulee" Powell Abrams, 72, wife of Hubert R. Abrams Sr., died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in a Florence hospital.
Mrs. Abrams was born in Hannah, a daughter of the late William Allard Powell and the late Myrtle Lee Wise Powell and a step-mother, Bertie Poston Powell. She was a homemaker, a member of the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, a Prayer Warrior and attended Hannah schools.
Surviving are her husband, Hubert R. Abrams Sr. of the home; sons, H. Ray (Cindy) Abrams Jr. of Hemingway, J. Donnie (Cyndi) Abrams of Lake City and Steve T. (Becky) Abrams of Andrews; daughters, Brenda A. (Stanley) Coker of Kingstree, Wanda A. Poston and Myrtle L. (Jimmy) Wright both of Johnsonville; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Powell of Scranton, Durant Powell of Goose Creek, David Powell of Moncks Corner, Michael Powell of Darlington, Milton Powell and Bobby Powell both of Johnsonville; sisters, Eddie Mae Hood of Florence, Shirley Matthews of Moncks Corner, Judy McDonald of Kingstree and Katherine Jones of Johnsonville.
Mrs. Abrams was predeceased by grandsons, Lonnie Lewis and Joshua Boyne; sister, Vera Thornbrew; brother, Clarence Powell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery.
