Gaffney, SC - - Joyce Powell Beheler, 65, of 129 Henderson Street, passed away on April 10, 2008 at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Otis Powell and Lois Blanton Powell. She was retired from TNS Mills and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son, Harold Carr and wife, Linda, of Lincolnton, NC; two daughters, Brenda Lindsey and husband, Charles (Domino), of the home and Mary Childers and husband, Kenny, of Gaffney; three brothers, Wilson Powell and wife, Joyce, of Gaffney, Rev. Jimmy Powell and wife, Judy, of Cowpens, SC and Mike Powell and wife, Faye, of Cowpens, SC; one sister, Margie Cook and husband, Billy, of Gaffney; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Powell; a sister, Carolyn Poole; a daughter, Melissa Sheehan; and a granddaughter, Ashley Harrison. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel, immediately following the visitation, and will be conducted by Rev. Jimmy Powell and Mr. Ashby Blakely. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Boulevard, Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC, 29301.
