Born in family home near Talking Rocks Cavern, Reed Springs. Daughter of Ralph Waldo Emerson Powell and Laura Winette Walker. Married to Arthur on 21 Nov 1927 in Ozark, Missouri.
Her family developed and operated Fairy Cave, now Talking Rocks Cavern, for many years and Pansy gave her first cave tour when she was 12. She continued to have a part of this family business until the cave was sold in the early 1970's.
She resided in Springfield for nearly 50 years, the last 14 years with her daughter, Dixie. Also surviving are five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church.
