Robert Earl Powell, 62, of 808 Pratt Ave., died Thursday at home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in State Line Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge. The Rev. John Holcomb will officiate. Mr. Powell was a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church and veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ina Powell of Huntsville; one son, Robert R. Powell of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. Hilda P. Bray of San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Barbara Laster of Titusville, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Christian of Huntsville, Mrs. Ester Saxon of Huntsville and Mrs. Charlie Mae Sawyer of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be A. F. Jones, Greg Christian, Odell Mann, Danny McNeal, Clarence Carroll and Cyrus White.
