Florence Audrie Adams Dies Saturday; Rites Are Held
Florence Audrie Adams, a state resident since Indian Territory died Saturday evening at her home in Madill. She was 77.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adams were conducted Tuesday afternoon from Watts Memorial Chapel. Rev. R. D. Nicholson of Denison officiated. Music was arranged by Auburn Paregien with Mrs. Johna Pryor as organist.
Interment was in Woodberry-Forest cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was born May 12, 1890, in St. Louis, Mo. She moved to Atoka, I.T. as a young girl. They had moved to Madill where he farmed for a number of years.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Calvary Baptist church.
Surviving are a son, A.L. Adams and two daughters, Mrs. Edna Russell and Mrs. Lorene Adams, all of Madill; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Doris Gilmore, Grady Adams, John H. Jones, Joe Green, Horance Sparlin, Ed Benton, Bill Kimberlin and J. A. Sparlin.
Honorary pallbearers were Frank Black, Claud Ward and Bill Putman.
She was married to Lucien C. Adams in July, 1912. He preceded her in death January 18, 1958
