Ada Allene Poulson Albrecht, 80, passed away June 30, 2003 in Bountiful, of causes incident to age. She was born on February 12, 1923 to Lester and Ada Poulson in Ephraim, Utah, where she spent her childhood. After graduating from high school she moved to Salt Lake City and worked at Woolworths and the radio tube plant. She married Melvin F. Albrecht in the Manti Temple. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in Primary, Young Women and Relief Society presidencies and many other callings. In 1986-87 she served a mission in the Washington D.C. Temple and helped organize mission reunions for several years. An avid genealogist, she spent many years doing research and was a member of the DUP. She also served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Friends were an important part of her life and she helped many with transportation and care despite the many physical challenges she suffered. She kept in touch with her childhood friends in the Ephraim Club. Her hobbies included reading, bowling, handiwork and family activities. She is survived by her daughter JoAnne (David) McConkie of Bountiful, son David (Kim) Albrecht of Cheyenne, Wyoming, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ernest (Helen) Poulson, and her sister Fern (Dick) Muir, both of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth (Roy) Jackson and her granddaughter, Angela McConkie. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2003 at the Salt Lake 14th Ward, 142 W. 200 N. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Wednesday July 2nd from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, prior to the service, 1:00 to 1:45 at the church. Interment: Lakeview Cemetery in Bountiful.
