Mrs. R. K. Potter
Another old settler has joined the silent majority. Mrs. R. K. Potte departed this life in Aurora last Sunday, August 14th. She was born November 13th, 1812, and came to Naperville with her husband in the year 1833, being among the first residents of this city.
Since the decease of her husband in 1877, Mrs. Potter found a home with her sons, but at times preferred to live here in Naperville, where so many years had been spent among a people whom she loved and admired.
The funeral took place Monday afternoon and the interment in Naperville cemetery. Her last days were made pleasanter and many of her needs supplied by the Woman's Relief Corps of Aurora.
Mrs. Potter leaves three sons - Willaim, the eldest, resides in Aurora; Robert K. in Chicago; and George W. in Canton, Ohio.
