Social Reformer. An abolitionist and suffragist, along with husband Isaac, she is credited with assisting the largest number of escaped slaves across the border to Canada from her home, which was an important stop on the Underground Railroad. She was also a founding member and leader in the National Women's Suffrage Movement alongside Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
