Ona Porter Buchanan, 90, widow of Fred H. Buchanan, died May 16, in McMinnville.
Funeral services were held today from Macy & Son Funeral Directors with interment in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Mrs. Buchanan was born Dec. 8, 1880, near Sheridan, the daughter of Rufus A. and Sara Ann Ralston Porter. She attended Sheridan schools and Oregon State University.
Following her marriage in 1903, she lived in Newberg and taught school there until 1910.
She served on McMinnville Precinct No. 16 election board for forty-five years, from 1920 through 1965. Mrs. Buchanan was McMinnville city librarian from 1942 to 1949.
A member of the local Self-improvement Club since 1910, she was also a member of Knowles Chapter No. 12, O.E.S., the Federation of Womens Clubs, the Christian Church and a charter member of the McMinnville Branch of A.A.U.W.
Survivors are a son, Wayne P. Buchanan of Portland and a sister, Mrs. C.R. Thompson of Seattle.
