She was born in Stigler, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jesse F. and Esther May (Preston) Porter. She attended school in McAlester and recently received her G.E.D. She married William Frank Brown on June 17, 1963, in Neosha, Mo. and was a homemaker and worked for several years as a waitress and as a caregiver in homes in McAlester. She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, a member of the Red Hat Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1098. She passed away in McAlester at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, A.J. Porter. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Curtis, John Grimm, Martin Honaker, Frank Fabry, Lloyd Flesher and David Hadcock.
