Born June 7, 1923, in Puryear, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Zora Rowe Guthrie.
Her husband, Ira D. Porter, preceded her in death.
She was educated in Henry County schools and was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church at Springville.
She leaves one daughter: Freddie Olive; a brother: James Guthrie; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Thomas Eddie Porter; and a stepson: Ira D. Porter.
