Gage, Ky. - Catherine Pool Dixon, age 83, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2015, 1:30 am at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

After leaving home to raise her own family, she went to work in a shoe factory and SH Camp and Company both in Michigan, then later on to M Snowers in Cairo, IL, and after 16 years Mrs. Dixon retired from Harris Engineering in Barlow, KY.

She was also a pastor’s wife and had taught Sunday School.

After moving back to Ballard County, she was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved quilting, crocheting, and her kitty, “Precious”, that kitty was her pride and joy and her fur-baby.

She is survived by her daughters, Lorita and husband Tom Pickett of Tamms, Kaye and husband Stanley Talley of Gage; son, William B. Dixon, Jr. of Paducah; one brother, Wayne Pool of La Center; three sisters, Peggy Sue Carter of Barlow, Jackie Steele of La Center, Joyce Williamson of Fort Myers, FL;

Six grandchildren:
Ronnie Jr. and wife Deneen Dixon of Barlow,
Tiffany and husband Rick Ryan of Tamms,
Christopher Talley of Paducah,
Angela Talley of Gage,
Zakk and wife Chelsea Dixon of Paducah,
Matthew Dixon of Paducah;

Three great-grandchildren:
Desiree Dixon of Barlow,
Blake and Colin Ryan of Tamms;

Two great-great-grandchildren:
Kejlab Veljacic, Jr. “Porkchop” of Paducah,
Aubree Dixon “Piggy” of Barlow;
Several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William B. Dixon, Sr.; one son, Ronnie Lee Dixon, Sr.;three brothers, Junior Boyd, Gary and Virgil Pool; two sisters, Betty Jennings and Joe Nell Horn; parents, King and Bernatta Hargrove Pool.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dixon will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 am with Revs. Larry Fraser and Jimmy Horn officiating.
Burial will follow at Wickliffe City Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
