He also he worked in France, England, and United States, where he was probably best remembered for the production of "Dr. Zhivago" (1965). In a career that spanned over 40 years, Ponti produced some 150 films. They include "Anna" (1951), "Europa'51" (1952), "Dovè la Libertà?..." (1954), "La Strada" (1956), "War and Peace" (1956), "Boccaccio 70" (1962), "Blow Up" (1966), "I Girasoli" (1970), and "Flesh for Frankenstein" (1973).
