Charles Elliott "Bud" Poage, Jr., 42, World War II ace and veteran North American bomber and fighter test pilot, died Saturday of a heart attack at his home, 5446 Eau Claire Dr., Palos Verdes Estates. He was survived by his wife, Mona, and two daughters, Leslie, 9, and Jennifer, 10.
At the time of his death, Poage was assigned to off-site liaison in Apollo Test and Operation at North American Aviation's Space and Information Systems Division, Downey. He joined the Space Division in 1962.
